Injured/Dead Wildlife
Contact local authorities and/or local or provincial animal control/conservation offices for further information on what to do for injured or dead wildlife in that area. There may be specific laws (e.g., for animal removal or for endangered species) that apply. If you are in a National Park, contact the Park office.
If the animal is still alive, you may also wish to contact the appropriate provincial or territorial wildlife rehabilitation centre listed (a selection or organizations are listed below), which may be able to assist the animal.

Videos
- Below is a link to a video on how to move turtles, provided by the Toronto Zoo. It is very important that if you choose to help an animal, that you DO NOT move wildlife if being on the road or touching the animal will put you or anyone else in danger – ever!
- Avoiding Wildlife-Vehicle Collisions safety video (Telly Award Winner). The video, provided by the USDA Forest Service, is targeted towards forest service employees but a number of tips and advice could be useful to others working or travelling through similar areas.
